How to crochet Shamrock hat

March 13, 2018

Get your green on! It’s time to get ready and crochet Shamrock hat for St. Patrick’s Day!

You will blend right in with this whimsical cone hat adorned with Shamrock leaf.

WRITTEN PATTERN OF SHAMROCK HAT

I use Caron Simply Soft Party white and green yarn for the hat, and hook size 5.00 mm. For Shamrock leaf I use Caron Simply Soft dark green yarn and hook size 6.00 mm.

In case you want to use a different yarn, check out this great source for yarn substitution.

The hat is worked from top to bottom and my hat measures appr 9.5 in height and 21 in around the bottom edge.

And finally, how about some of that luck of the Irish:

This isn’t luck at all, but more of an attitude, a positive look at a bad situation.
Mary-“I was just wearing my new shoes today when I stepped in a HUGE cow s..t”
Michael-“Well then, tis a LUCKY thing you were wearing shoes!”
Mary-“Yea, Luck of the Irish”
