My Second Bag Design Featured in I Like Crochet Magazine April 2024 Issue
I was thrilled to have my second crochet design, the Blue Lagoon Almond Stitch Bag, featured in the April 2024 issue of I Like Crochet Magazine. Having another design selected for publication was both exciting and incredibly encouraging.
After the wonderful experience of seeing my first design published, being chosen again felt like a meaningful validation of my creative work. It gave me even more motivation to keep exploring new ideas, experimenting with different techniques, and designing unique crochet projects to share with fellow crocheters.

The inspiration for this bag came from the beautiful Almond Stitch, a crochet stitch that adds texture, elegance, and visual interest to even the simplest designs. I paired two contrasting colors to showcase the stitch pattern and create a striking center panel, while one of those colors is repeated on the side panels to bring the entire design together.
To complete the look, I added round bamboo-style metal handles that give the bag a sophisticated, boutique-inspired finish. The result is a stylish crochet accessory that is both eye-catching and practical. I hope you enjoy making your own Blue Lagoon Almond Stitch Bag.

Seeing my crochet bag professionally styled and photographed was such a rewarding experience! It’s always exciting to watch a design come to life in the pages of a magazine and be shared with crocheters around the world.
I’m also delighted to continue collaborating with I Like Crochet Magazine. Another one of my bag designs is scheduled to be published later in 2024, so be sure to stay tuned for more crochet inspiration and exciting new patterns!

My Bag Design Featured in I Like Crochet Magazine November 2023 Issue
The Blush Blizzard Puffer Purse holds a special place in my heart because it was my very first crochet design to be published in I Like Crochet Magazine. The pattern was featured in the magazine’s November 2023 issue, making it an exciting milestone in my crochet journey.
Submitting a design to a major crochet publication for the first time felt both exciting and nerve-racking, so I was absolutely thrilled when I learned that my pattern had been selected. Seeing my work published alongside so many talented designers was a dream come true and gave me the confidence to continue creating and sharing my crochet designs with the world.

The Blush Blizzard Puffer Purse was inspired by the growing trend of soft, quilted puffer bags appearing on runways and in fashion boutiques. I immediately thought crochet would be the perfect medium to recreate that cozy, cushioned look in a handmade way. The idea of transforming traditional crochet squares into plush, pillow-like motifs was simply too tempting to resist.

The purse is constructed from individual puffy motifs, each created by joining two crochet squares and lightly stuffing them with fiberfill. These mini crochet pillows are then connected together to form a stylish and surprisingly sturdy purse. The result is a unique accessory that combines the warmth and texture of crochet with the modern appeal of a trendy puffer bag.
To make the design even more eye-catching, I chose a gradual color palette for each motif, creating a beautiful three-dimensional effect that adds depth and visual interest to the finished purse. The subtle color transitions highlight the texture of the puffy motifs and give the bag a modern, geometric look.
I hope you enjoy making this purse as much as I enjoyed designing it! Whether you’re creating it to complement your own wardrobe or gifting it to a fashion-loving friend, it’s sure to become a unique and cherished accessory. Happy crocheting!
