How to crochet Merry Christmas letters

December 4, 2021

Let’s crochet ourselves MERRY CHRISTMAS! Last year we learned to crochet the letters for HAPPY NEW YEAR. Please follow the video tutorial to make letters W (reverse for M), E, R, Y, H, A:

You’ll find the written pattern of these letters HERE.

And to crochet MERRY CHRISTMAS, we only need to learn 4 more letter – C, I, S, T. And of course, to spell it right, we need to make three of R, two of M and S.

The pattern and tutorial to crochet Merry Christmas letters is inspired by Melody Griffith letter design.

I recommend blocking the finished letters, it’s a great way to shape them whichever way you like. I made them wet, attached them to my blocking mats with pins and sprayed some starch, then let them dry.

I recommend watching video tutorial for visual help with all the stitch placements!

I use Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread size 3, colors red, green and white. 1 ball (150yds) of each is enough. Crochet hook is size 2.75 mm.

Hi there! Any chance you’ll do another tutorial or set of instructions to finish out the alphabet?
