The Little Spider Tablecloth is quick and easy to crochet and it makes a great Halloween decoration.
This is an easily adjustable pattern to make different sizes of the tablecloth. Just add 14 chains for each additional pattern repeat. My smallest piece (the square with purple fringe) has 3 pattern repeats and starts with 52 chains. The bigger square with orange fringe has four pattern repeats and starts with 66 chains, etc. You can also make it as a table runner.
With this pattern you will also learn “chain fringe”. It’s an easy technique to add the fun edging to your piece.
I recommend blocking the tablecloth. I usually make the piece wet, stretch it out on blocking mats and attach it with pins. I also spray some starch to give it extra firm shape. Let it dry completely before removing the pins.

To crochet the Little Spider Tablecloth I use Patons Hempster yarn (size 3 light/DK) and the colors in tutorial are Dove Gray (color A) and Mango (color B). The contents of this yarn is 55% hemp and 45% cotton. One ball has 3.5 oz/100 g, 190 yds/174 m in it. Crochet hook is size 3.5 mm.
