Let’s crochet the quick and easy Houndstooth Dish Towel for all the holiday cooking. This will make a beautiful gift too! I know I will make a few for my friends who enjoy cooking and baking.
The name of this simple pattern is Houndstooth and it consists of only single crochet and double crochet stitches. Super easy yet stylish look! You will need 2 contrast colors though.
What about the name “Houndstooth”! I found out that:
Houndstooth is a two-toned textile pattern, Scottish by origin, characterized by broken checks, and most often designed in black and white. The print does in fact have something to do with its canine-sounding name — which was inspired by the uneven shape of a hound dog’s teeth.
