Unboxing is a fun new way to review any type of mail-order product in a video. I heard of the idea from a friend and figured it a prefect excuse to order a crochet kit and express my opinion of it, so here’s how I did my first unboxing of Carftsy Crochet Scarf Kit.
Most unboxing videos review subscription crochet kits where you regularly receive a new box full of crochet supplies and extra goodies. I decided to start with one-time crochet kit because I don’t subscribe to any clubs yet.
I chose Craftsy crochet kit for my first unboxing video because Craftsy (they also use a name Blueprint) is a great source of crochet patterns and kits. I have been interested in trying out their projects for a while now and I’m glad I found the idea of unboxing to make it happen. And then I just needed to decide what to make. Scarves are always popular and practical items to crochet. The Vanessa’s Vintage Scarf Crochet Kit by Sweet Potato 3 caught my eye because of the beautiful colors and unique design.

In addition to reviewing the contents of the kit I decided to show the finished scarf as well. I was happy to see that the pattern worked out well, just like pictured on the kit photos. I thought the scarf was easy to crochet and the pattern was very clear to understand. I used the hook recommended in the pattern and my finished scarf measured exactly the size described on the sheet. It took me 4 hours to complete the project and I am very pleased with the color and feel of the yarn I selected.
