Here is my first creation – The Limbe Linen Scarf – from the fabulous “Modern Crochet” book by Debrosse. The author and designer of the book is Teresa Carter. Check out her website.
The minimalistic look and feel of modern crochet is very attractive to me. So I was delighted to find this new book on Amazon because it gives me so many enjoyable hours to recreate these practical items. It also serves a great purpose of inspiring new ideas of my own.
I chose the the Limbe Linen Scarf because I had the yarn at home to start the project. This one is definitely easy project and the simple pattern looks absolutely beautiful using the soft off-white recommended yarn. That’s what I like about modern crochet so much – the simple stitch results in really elegant and stylish item.
The finished scarf is so comfortable and can be worn in different ways. I made it a little wider using all the yarn in my skeins. I am pretty sure I will make this scarf in another color like pale violet, for example.
So it’s safe to say I’m a big fan of Modern Crochet book and I’m excited to start new projects in it. Next up is the Vache Bolster Pillow. Stay tuned for the review!
Happy crocheting!
