Little Star Doily

BLOCKING

Once your Little Star Doily is complete, blocking will truly bring the lace pattern to life. Thread crochet can look slightly curled or uneven straight off the hook, but gentle blocking helps open up the stitches, define the star details, and give the doily its beautiful finished shape. Simply dampen the doily lightly, pin it evenly into shape on a blocking board or towel, and allow it to dry completely. It’s always amazing to see how much the final design transforms after blocking. MATERIALS

I use crochet thread size 10 Golo Red Cherry 191, and about 300 yards are needed to crochet the Little Star Doily. Crochet hook is size 1.75 mm. My doily measures about 18 inches in diameter.

Special stitch:
