How to crochet Winter Mint Doily

January 27, 2021

Celebrate winter and crochet the cute Winter Mint Doily. The fresh new tutorial will help you make one in no time. The doily is easy and very enjoyable to crochet. It is designed by S. Janotta.

Showcasing the Winter Mint Doily I attempt to blend my two beloved hobbies of crocheting and playing piano. The latter receiving much less attention due to my crochet business, but still.. I haven’t mastered the particular song of “Summer Me, Winter Me” yet, but for now it provides the beautiful background to my wintergreen doily.

The doily definitely needs blocking after you finish it. I usually make the doily wet, stretch it out on blocking mats and attach it with pins. I also spray some starch to give it extra firm shape. Let it dry completely before removing the pins.

I use Golo crochet thread size 10 and the color used in tutorial is Little Green. 1 ball has 250 yards and it’s more than enough for the doily. Crochet hook is 1.75 mm.
