How to crochet heart doily

February 5, 2020

This Valentine’s Day I will show you how to crochet pretty heart doily in two colors, so you have something new to put on your table or give as a gift to loved one.

crochet heart doily

You have option to make this doily in one color, then it’s quite easy. If you choose to make it with two colors like I do in my video tutorial, the skill level is intermediate because it requires extra focus to switch 2 threads while crocheting complex stitches.

Check out my video tutorial for helpful tips and instructions:

And here is how I blocked my heart doily! I made it wet, stretched it out on my blocking square and pinned it. I also like to use spray starch to give my doily the extra firm and crisp shape:

WRITTEN PATTERN OF HEART DOILY

I use Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread size 10 colors White and Orchid Pink. Crochet hook is size 1,5 mm. My doily measures appr. 12,5 inches in diameter.
