How to crochet Barbie Seaside Dress

September 3, 2022

The second dress in Barbie summer series is the Seaside Dress. And this one is even easier to make than the first Beachwalk Dress because it’s made all in one piece working sideways.

Barbie Seaside Dress

I use a beautiful thread from YarnArt called Tulip. It is 100% microfiber and I really recommend this for the Barbie Seaside Dress because it’s very shiny, silky and smooth. It works especially well with the ribbed pattern of this dress. And the colors match the Barbie doll with her fun blue hair. You can find the link to buy the thread in Written Pattern section below.

I use YarnArt crochet thread size 10. The thread is called Tulip and my color choice is Variegated Pastels. Crochet hook is 1.75 mm. You can also use cotton thread size 10, my pink dress is made with Aunt Lydia’s thread Shaded Pink. You’ll also need 5 tiny buttons or 6mm beads for back closure.
