What a great alternative to knitted socks! I enjoyed making these crochet socks. It took me while to figure out and adjust the pattern for each yarn type, but once I did, it was quite easy to make a pair.
The pattern is courtesy of Garnstudio Drops Design. Thank you!
I also experimented with different yarns and the best ones to suit this pattern are Patons Classic Wool Roven and Lion Brand Landscapes.
Patons Classic Roven is 100% pure new wool which makes the socks special because I remember from my childhood, I was always told how the best way to keep warm in frosty Estonian climate was to wear your wool socks. Patons has some precious colors in the collection, I made these in Frosted Plum (fitting for frosty weather) and shipped to my Mom for her birthday gift. She loves them!
And I just finished the Bordeaux socks with Lion Brand Landscapes yarn and I think the socks look quite glamorous 😉
Happy crocheting!

So pretty— did you write a pattern for these? I would like to make them.
Hi Crystal! Thank you! I didn’t design these, I wish I did 🙂 It’s a free crochet pattern by Drops Garnstudio:
