Crocheting the Cafe Curtain is an enjoyable and easy project, perfect for you if you’re looking to enhance your crochet skills while creating something charming for your home. This pattern introduces various types of crochet clusters, making it a great way to learn and practice different stitch techniques. With simple yet elegant results, you’ll gain confidence in working triple crochet clusters while crafting a beautiful handmade accent for any window.

I use 2 colors of Golo thread size 10 (ball size 250 yards/40 grams). Crochet hook is size 1.75 mm. The curtain rod is expandable 28-48 inches and 0.5-inch diameter.

My curtain measures about 28 inches wide and 8 inches long.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
tr = triple crochet
tr3-cl = 3 triple crochet cluster
tr4-cl = 4 triple crochet cluster
sc = single crochet
dtr = double triple crochet

Special stitches:
tr3-cl = (yarn over twice, insert hook in the indicated stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through first 2 loops, yarn over, pull through next 2 loops, leave last 2 loops on hook) 3 times, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops on hook.
tr4-cl = (yarn over twice, insert hook in the indicated stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through first 2 loops, yarn over, pull through next 2 loops, leave last 2 loops on hook) 4 times, yarn over, pull through all 5 loops on hook.

Pattern notes:
- The pattern is multiple of 20 + 9, so for each additional repeat add 20 chains.
- For the border pattern to work, the piece needs multiple of 4 rows (my curtain has 72 rows).
  • With color A ch 89 (4 repeats of pattern).
  • Row 1 = tr in 14th ch from hook, *ch 4, skip 4 ch, tr in next ch, repeat from*.

  • Row 3 = ch 8, turn, tr in next tr, *ch 4, tr4-cl in top of tr4-cl, (ch 4, tr in next tr) 3 times, repeat from*, end the row (after last tr4-cl) with ch 4, tr in next tr, ch 4, tr in 5th ch from st.

  • Row 5 = ch 8, turn, *(tr in next tr, ch 4) 3 times, tr4-cl in top of tr4-cl, ch 4, repeat from*, end the row (after last tr4-cl) with ch 4, (tr in next tr, ch 4) 3 times, tr in 5th ch from st.
