While I don’t know the designer’s name, I’m incredibly grateful for this beautiful pattern. It’s perfect for creating a stunning fall table centerpiece. It is not difficult, but it includes some big stitches like triple-crochet clusters and double-triple crochet clusters. So I hope that my video tutorial is helpful to you to master these stitches and hopefully learn something new.
The doily definitely needs blocking after you finish it. I usually make the doily wet, stretch it out on blocking mats and attach it with pins. I also spray some starch to give it extra firm shape. Let it dry completely before removing the pins. In the video tutorial I show you how I block the Wheat and Grape Doily!

WRITTEN PATTERN OF WHEAT AND GRAPE DOILY
I use 2 colors of crochet thread size 10, light green (color A) and light brown (color B), about 300 yards total are needed. In the video tutorial, I show you how to make the Wheat and Grape Doily with two colors, but you can definitely use just one color if you prefer.
Crochet hook is size 1.75 mm. My doily measures about 22 inches in diameter.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
dc = double crochet
beg = beginning
sc = single crochet
sp = space
tr = triple crochet
dtr = double triple crochet
tr4-cl = 4 triple crochet cluster
dtr4-cl = 4 double triple crochet cluster
tr6-cl = 6 triple crochet cluster
yo = yarn over
Special stitches:
* double triple crochet = yo three times, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, (yo and pull through 2 loops) 4 times
* beg tr4-cluster = ch 4, (yo twice, insert hook in next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through first 2 loops, yo and pull through next 2 loops) three times, yo and pull through 4 loops on hook
* tr4-cluster = (yo twice, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops, yo and pull through 2 loops) 4 times, yarn over and pull through 5 loops on hook

- With color A ch 10, sl st in 1st ch to make a ring.
- Round 1 = ch 3 (counts as 1st dc throughout), dc 23 in the ring (total 24 dc), sl st in 3rd beg ch.
- Round 2 = ch, sc in same st, *ch 5, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc, repeat from*, instead of last 5ch: ch 2 and dc in 1st sc.
- Round 3 = ch, sc in same st, *ch 7, sc in next ch5-sp, repeat from*, instead of last 7ch: ch 3 and tr in 1st sc.
- Round 4 = ch, sc in same st, *ch 9, sc in next ch7-sp, repeat from*, instead of last 9ch: ch 4 and dtr in 1st sc.
- Round 5 = ch 4 (counts as 1st tr), tr 3 in same st, *ch 7, tr 4 in 5th ch of next 9ch, repeat from*, instead of last 7ch: ch 3 and tr in 4th beg ch.
