My second project – the Vache Bolster Pillow – from the fabulous “Modern Crochet” book by Debrosse. The author and designer of the book is Teresa Carter. Check out her website.
I found this pillow very easy to crochet and I think it looks more complicated than it actually is. It’s definitely doable in one sitting.
And the book shows you how to make the pillow in two different bulky yarns.
As I mentioned in my first post about Modern Crochet book, the minimalistic look and feel of modern crochet is very attractive to me. Because it gives me so many enjoyable hours to recreate these practical items and serves a great purpose of inspiring new ideas of my own.
The Modern Crochet book is really cool to showcase all items in either black or white to emphasize the contemporary style. I chose the deep dark teal color for my Vache Bolster pillow as it matches best with my home decor.
Check out my first project from the Modern Crochet book – the Limbe Linen Scarf. I was very happy how it turned out!
The book is beautiful hard cover, it would make a perfect gift for any crocheter. What’s really great about it is that it includes lots of photo instructions and links to video tutorials to help with written patterns. I love the style of short concise instructions, so when you open the book you will have the whole pattern on one page. Very convenient!
I am definitely planning to crochet more items from the book, I’m thinking of a cozy throw, wall hanging, coasters, another scarf and pillow even. Stay tuned for new reviews!
Happy crocheting!
