Sunflower Doily

September 14, 2025

If you’ve been looking for a cheerful project that blends texture, color, and a touch of vintage, the Sunflower Doily is calling your name. I’m inviting you to join me in crocheting this radiant piece – perfect for brightening up your table, gifting to a fellow yarn-lover, or simply celebrating the joy of handmade beauty. Whether you’re looking to expand your skills or just want a satisfying make, this pattern is ideal for confident beginners ready to explore layered rounds and petal shaping.

To make the process smooth and enjoyable, I highly recommend watching my video tutorial below – it’s a great companion if you’re just getting comfortable with doily construction.

This doily is more than just a project – it’s a celebration of color, growth, and creativity. With each round, you’ll see your sunflower bloom into something truly special. So grab your favorite hook, some golden yarn, and let’s crochet joy into every stitch.🌻

BLOCKING DOILY

The Sunflower Doily definitely needs blocking after you finish it. I usually make the piece wet, stretch it out on blocking mats and attach it with pins. I also spray some starch to give it extra firm shape. Let it dry completely before removing the pins.
