The Seabreeze Shawl is the kind of accessory to crochet that makes you feel like, despite the fleeting summertime, a few seaside adventures are still waiting to wear the lightweight shawl around your shoulders.
This is my second shawl to make with Red Heart It’s a Wrap Rainbow yarn, check out the first one Rainbow Shawl. To crochet the Seabreeze Shawl I used the color Seaglass and I hope this yarn will be around for a long time because its soft texture and gradual change of colors is just so perfect for handmade scarves and shawls.
This is an easy crochet pattern, and if you haven’t tried it before, you will learn Wave stitch while making your Seabreeze Shawl. The pattern is multiple of 16 + 2, so it’s easy to adjust the width of the shawl. I made my shawl with 5 pattern repeats, so I counted 5 x 16 + 2 = 82 chains to start. And using one ball of Seaglass my shawl measures about 13.5 inches wide and 51 inches long.

As mentioned, to crochet the Seabreeze Shawl I used one ball of Red Heart It’s a Wrap Rainbow yarn color Seaglass. One ball has 150 g/5.29 oz, 623 yds (570 m) and it’s a blend of acrylic (55%) and cotton (45%). Crochet hook is 3.5 mm. Check out this great source for yarn substitution.
