Network Shopper

March 30, 2021

Why do I call my next market bag a Network Shopper? First, the checkered pattern of chain-spaces looks like a net, so in other words, this is a “network of chains”. And second, “shopper” is a cool alternative to “market bag”, so why not mix things up a bit.

This is an easy crochet project, I definitely recommend the Network Shopper pattern for beginner crocheters to learn stitches and make something practical at the same time!

I use Bernat Softee Baby Cotton yarn and the colors in tutorial are Blush (color A) and Feather Gray (color B). It is light weight size 3 and ball size is 4.2 oz, 254 yds. One ball of each color is enough. Crochet hook is 4 mm. And my shopper measures about 14 inches long and 14 inches wide.

In case you want to use a different yarn, check out this great source for yarn substitution.
