Acorn Market Bag

September 12, 2020

The idea to crochet Acorn Market Bag came to me in my local yarn store in Estonia. Meaning, the yarn I saw on the shelf inspired me to design the market bag in fall colors.

It’s Katia Lino 100% and as the name says the yarn is 100% linen. I used 3 colors Beige, Reseda Green and Mustard. According to Katia this is a fine weight yarn and they recommend using size 8-9 (U.S.)/(5-5.5 mm) knitting needles or size C2 (U.S.)/(2.5 mm) crochet hook.

Katia is a wonderful yarn/crafts company in Barcelona, Spain and they offer wonderful high-quality yarn as well as extensive library of crochet/knitting patterns. Check out the Katia Lino patterns here.

If you want to use the same yarn I recommend typing the yarn name Katia Lino 100% in Ravelry yarn search and it will give you buying options based on your location.

In case you want to use a different yarn to crochet the Acorn Market Bag, check out this great source for yarn substitution.

I used Katia Lino 100% yarn, 1 ball beige, 1 ball yellow and 1 ball green. Ball size is 50g. Crochet hook is 3 mm. My bag measures about 12 inches wide and 12 inches long.

I bought the pattern and am having a terrible time ending the round. What do you mean by ending the round in the same ch2 space? I have started this over 3 or 4 times and when it says end the round with 1 dc in same ch2 sp ad 2 dc in next dc what does that mean?

I’m sorry I didn’t see your comment earlier.
You can always send all questions to my email handmadebyraine@gmail.com because I check this more frequently.
Ending the round with dc in same ch2-space means that after the last ch2 you will need to make one more dc in same ch2-space where you did last dc.
Please email me with your questions, I am happy to help. Also, did you check the video tutorial for extra help: https://youtu.be/CSBMtd6PAG8
