Bright Eyes Baby Blanket
And I chose the adorable Bright Eyes Baby Blanket as my first project. I had suitable yarn at home but not enough for the whole blanket, so I decided to make a sampler:
The baby blanket tutorial includes written pattern and videos. It is nicely organized into separate parts and that’s why it is especially helpful for beginners. Starting with instructions to make the squares, continuing with joining the squares and ending with the edge for the blanket.
This is an excellent way to learn crocheting because you have these different resources at your fingertips. Creativebug baby blanket instructions include both written and graphical pattern, and in case anything is unclear you can play the video and Edie shows you exactly how and where to insert your hook. Perfect!
I especially enjoyed the video about joining the squares because it’s much more clear to actually see how the squares are positioned correctly. Moreover, Edie has some really helpful tips that make joining the squares enjoyable and the result is beautiful.
I have made a few baby blankets before but I learned the great technique of joining squares for the first time with Edie! Can’t wait to start my next project with Creativebug!
